French Toast GF/Vegan/Top 9 Free
There's nothing better than starting your morning with a warm plate of French toast — especially when it's made with my fluffy buns dipped in rich pancake batter. This recipe combines the best of both worlds: soft bread with a crisp, golden crust that's perfect for syrup, jam, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
Ingredients:
- Buns (or any bread of choice) (recipe) 
- Prepared pancake batter (recipe) 
- Coconut oil or vegan butter for cooking 
- Toppings: Syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, or jam 
Instructions:
- Heat a well-oiled or buttered pan over medium-high heat. (These pans cook evenly and heat quickly) 
- Dip each bun (or bread slice) into the prepared pancake batter, ensuring both sides are well coated. 
- Place the coated buns into the heated pan. 
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. 
- If using thicker bread, use tongs to cook the sides for even browning. 
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings like syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, or jam. 
Tips:
- This method works great with any style of bread, so feel free to get creative. 
- For extra thick bread slices, cooking the sides helps ensure they cook through properly.
